KRYPTOTAL Fr - Model design specially adapted for front wheel use. Advantage: best performance for specific front wheel requirements such as stability and agility. Designed with the same design boundary conditions as KRYPTOTAL Re: steep and shallow ramps, tailored to the area of application in mixed and loose terrain. Advantage: balance between harmonious and easy rolling transferring the power to the terrain.
Endurance compound (Endurance compound)
The new BlackChili compound for our Gravity MTB tire range focuses on the balance between grip and durability. With the ENDURANCE composition, high durability is achieved in combination with low rolling resistance and traction. A good choice of compound for trail riding or as an endurance compound for e-bikes.
Blackchili the best tire compound from ContinentalContinental has developed a blend of newly discovered synthetic rubber with natural rubber and a tread with proven wear resistance. Special nanometric carbon particles have been added to these components in the compound, which are optimized in shape and surface properties for the best using the bicycle tire as intended. The tires with the BlackChili compound achieved an unprecedented level of performance. Compared to previous compounds, such as the one with activated silica, BlackChili tires have 26% less rolling resistance, but 30% more grip and increase mileage by 5%. BlackChili technology never stands still, as it is continuously developed in the scientific departments at the Continental plants in Korbach and adapted to the individual applications of the new Continental tires. Whether you're on the road or on a mountain bike, speed and traction are very noticeable advantages. The technology is so sensitive that BlackChili tires can only be produced at Continental's factories in Korbach.
Suitable for electric bikes
For our e-bike tire portfolio, we borrow technology from over 100 years of experience in manufacturing and developing our motorcycle tires. All our tires are rated according to a standard index of E25 or E50, respectively 25 / 50 km / h. They have high-quality puncture protection and low rolling resistance.
Trail Casing
Comparable performance to the trail-ready Enduro casing, consisting of 60 threads per inch (tpi) wrapped around aramid beads for an overall 2-layer / 120 tpi sidewall construction and 3-layer / 180 tpi tread construction. In addition, floating cross-woven ProTection (PT) fabric from the side to the shoulder saves weight compared to the two-layer shell construction, but provides much of the same protective qualities in a lighter construction.
Additional cross-woven ProTection prevents cuts.
