Shimano Deore M6100, M5100 & M4100
After the mountain bike flagship XTR already set standards and the Deore XT and SLX followed, the Deore M6100 now completes Shimano's 12-speed range. It is complemented by the M5100 and M4100 series components, which will equip 11- and 10-speed drives at the same high level.
When it comes to price, current Shimano Deore groupsets are positioned in the entry-level range, but are not willing to compromise on performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that the high-end XTR, XT and SLX groupsets have to offer in terms of technology, innovation, performance and feature set can also be found in Deore components.
Shimano Deore CS-M6100 Cassette< br>The Shimano Deore CS-M6100 cassette features Hyperglide+ technology, which ensures high shifting speed, precision and smoothness when shifting up and down and contributes to an extremely quiet drive. Designed for the Micro Spline freewheel system, the 12-speed cassette covers a wide range of gears, including a ratio of 10 to 51 teeth.
Hyperglide+
Conventional Hyperglide technology ensures smooth upshifts thanks to small shifters ramps that guide the chain to the next larger sprocket. The Hyperglide+ also uses this functionality, but applies it in reverse as well, preventing the chain from dropping when downshifting. The result is smooth and consistent shifting in both directions, with no vibration and no disruption of rhythm.
Micro Spline
Aluminum freewheel with 22 evenly spaced teeth keeps the cartridge firmly under control for instant response and also allows the use on a gear with 10 teeth. In addition, the smaller and, compared to conventional Hyperglide freewheel bodies, more extended engagement prevents rotor damage.
