Cross Xtreme Pro 2019 Preview and Video
And in 2019, the Xtreme model will be one of the main ones that Cross will rely on, and its Pro variant is one of the highest equipment classes that the Bulgarian manufacturer uses . Along with this, however, for 2019 there are some changes in the equipment itself, which aim to make the bike more accessible and hobbyist oriented, so that more people can recognize it as their own.
Actually, I can't hide that one of my main motivations for writing this article is the wonderful video that Cross prepared to advertise and present this bike. Since I had the pleasure of participating in a supporting role in the filming of some of the footage in the Vratsa Balkan, at the end of the article you can see some photos from the video shooting process, and soon you will be able to view a slightly larger photo album. But first, check out the video:
And now a few words about the bike. I don't know if any changes have been made to the frame, visually it looks the same to me as in 2018, but with new graphics and colors. As before, three sizes are available - 460mm, 500mm and 540mm. It's good to point out, though, that while the Xtreme and Xtreme Pro are geometrically identical, the latter (the more expensive one featured here) has a higher-end aluminum frame, using hydroformed tubing, a tapered head, and internal wiring.
Speaking of geometry, here are the geometry specs for both Xtreme Pro variants - with 27.5 and 29-inch wheels:
Xtreme Pro 27.5
Xtreme Pro 29
I won't comment on it in detail now, because there will soon be an article in the "Tried" section with direct impressions of the bike, albeit with a slightly different kit than the stock one, and in I will cover it in sufficient detail with the data from the above tables.
The difference between the two variants of the Xtreme Pro is only in the size of the wheels, i.e. the components are exactly the same, the only differences being those related to wheel size. The price of Xtreme Pro is BGN 1,879 and here's what you get for it:
